BVI Tourism and Culture Month
Celebrate what makes The BVI special with a host of activities in November during an event filled BVI Tourism and Culture Month.
Held from November 1 – November 30, 2023, the month is a collaboration between the Department of Culture and several partners including the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission, the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, and the Virgin Islands Communal Association (VICA).
Here are a few of the activities to enjoy in November.
BVI Lit Fest Nov 2nd to 5th.
The BVI Literary Arts Festival is an annual event that brings together writers, poets, publishers, booksellers, and book lovers to celebrate the literary arts through workshops, panel discussions, readings, signings, and launches. The festival includes local, regional, and international authors.

BVI Charter Boat Show
Tuesday, November 7 – Friday November 10, 2023
The BVI Charter Yacht Show is an annual event that is primarily geared toward the charter yacht industry. It provides an opportunity for yacht brokers, charter agents, and other industry partners to come together and view a variety of yachts available for charter in the BVI.
The show features a mix of both power and sail yachts, ranging in size from small catamarans to large luxury motor yachts. During the show, attendees can tour the yachts, meet with the crew, and sample the cuisine and amenities on board.
Additionally, there are seminars that provide networking opportunities and education on the latest trends and developments in the charter yacht and sailing industry.

The BVI Film Commission’s Short Film Competition

The BVI Film Commission’s short film competition is back as the 284 Excellence Film Competition aims at helping to develop the skillset(s) of our film industry professionals, in and around the territory, and opening avenues for them to promote their films to a wider audience.

The Anegada Lobster Festival is a three-day gastronomic event that takes place on the coral island of Anegada. It features freshly caught spiny lobsters that are used to make luscious dishes amid energetic live music. Guests have the opportunity to explore the island while sampling the best freshly-caught lobster decadent dishes.
