BVI Happenings: Foxy’s Cat Fight; Celebrate Food with Lobster Fest
Foxy’s Cat Fight and Day of the Dead
Thrilling races and fun festivities are beckoning sailors from throughout the Virgin Islands to celebrate not only Halloween but the best of BVI sailing at the annual Foxy’s Cat Fight and Masquerade Ball.
Classes are open for all fleets: multihulls, monohulls, and more. Join in the Halloween and Day of the Dead festivities at Foxy’s on Great Harbour on the 31st of October, and then sail the next day (All Souls Day), the 1st of November. And don’t forget to dress up on Saturday night for one of the BVI’s best Halloween parties – Foxy’s Masquerade Ball.
If you prefer to celebrate Halloween night on Tortola, you can register at the West End Yacht Club’s clubhouse, located at Omar’s on the Sandspit (West End), where there will be race registration, food and fun. Alternatively register prior to the race on November 1st at Foxy’s on Jost Van Dyke. The race’s starting gun will go off later that morning. Anegada Lobster Festival, November 28-30, November 2025
The Anegada Lobster Festival is for everyone who loves food, lobster, and the Caribbean.
With its endless beaches, exotic wildlife, and notably, the Caribbean spiny lobster, Anegada is a favorite BVI destination.
Into its sixth year, this internationally acclaimed culinary event will give lobster lovers a chance to explore Anegada, while savoring the island’s famous spiny lobster. The delicacy will be prepared and plated by some of the BVI’s best cooks at participating Anegada restaurants.
View unique art from Anegada’s well-known artisans, get close to the island’s flamingos, and learn about the many stages of the Spiny Lobster’s life, while dancing to the rhythms of Virgin Islands musicians and well known regional artists.
Along with spectacular sightseeing, great food, drink, and a sunset party, attendees will have a unique Anegada experience unlike any other in the Caribbean. It is culinary tourism at its best,
