BVI Happenings: Anegada Lobster Fest & Cinderella, The Pantomime
Top of the list in November 2025’s BVI food and entertainment scene are a Cinderella Pantomime and Anegada Lobster Fest.
Cinderella is a Fun Pantomime and a British Treat
Start the holiday season with Cinderella, a “Pantomime” by the BVI Arts Company, also known as Killi Killi. The production will be held at UPS Cinema on November 28th and 29th at 7pm.

Pantomime is a traditional British Christmas treat, part play, part musical and part cabaret. Often referred to as “Panto,” it is an art form that can be enjoyed by everyone – young and old. These sometimes chaotic, always fun comedies are wrapped around a popular fairy tale with lots of audience participation. People shout, cheer the heroes and boo the villains. The stories tell of good versus evil and there is always a happy ending.
Run by BVI Arts Director and Founder, Claudia Knight, the organization produces a large slate of theater and film productions in the BVI. Past Christmas pantomimes have included the highly entertaining shows, Aladdin and Jack and the Beanstalk. A film version of Peter Pan using only youngsters was shown at UPS Cinema, giving the young people a taste of the film industry.
The BVI Arts Company, was formed in 2014 to fill a need for live theater in the community as well as to introduce the younger generation to the theatrical arts. Claudia Knight, who joined the organization early on and eventually took over full time, took on the role with boundless energy and enthusiasm.
The productions are all a lot of fun. I loved Aladdin and was impressed with its stellar cast of actors, singers and dancers, local talent that could be as comfortable on a Broadway stage as the “boards” of a local venue. Behind the scenes are the equally talented back stage crew from costume designers to set builders.
An innovative production of Shakespear’s The Tempest. was staged at Lambert Beach. People brought their own beach chairs and candles lit the way. Knock Knock, a live dinner theater event was performed at various restaurants throughout the islands, and was such a great hit, extra performance were added.
The production of Cinderella, with once again a cast comprised of both youngsters and adults, will undoubtably be a holiday treat and another success.
Tickets are $20. Purchase them through at the 1973 restaurant at Road Reef or by calling BVI Arts at 344-227. Also available at the BVI Arts Website:
