About The Insider

The BVI Insider was created by Claudia Colli, a longtime resident of the British Virgin Islands and a professional travel writer and editor. She was the publisher and editor of The Welcome Guide to the British Virgin Islands for 30 years; has freelanced for newspapers, yachting and travel publications in the Caribbean, the US and UK; and has authored two guidebooks to the BVI, Introducing the BVI, and British Virgin islands: Sheltered Isles of Sea and Sun, published by Macmillan. 

She has raised two children in the BVI, visited the Territory’s resorts and hotels, and has sailed to its many anchorages – giving her an insider’s perspective into this one-of-a-kind corner of the Caribbean. Over the years, she has written about the BVI in loving detail because . . . well, she loves the BVI.

Claudia and her fellow writers (and BVI lovers), will introduce you to the islands’ people, their culture, activities and sights, and show you what makes this archipelago of dozens of islands, islets and cays so very special.
